NeuroTrac® Simplex-ESS102

SINGLE CHANNEL EMG The NeuroTrac® Simplex is a single channel EMG biofeedback device designed for monitoring and measuring muscle activity and improving muscle conditioning. Used under the guidance of a clinician or physiotherapist, NeuroTrac® simplex device is used for incontinence assessment, biofeedback pelvic floor training, and sports and general physiotherapy.

Overview & Clinical Applications

The NeuroTrac® Simplex is a simple, cost-effective, and single channel EMG biofeedback device used for incontinence assessment, biofeedback pelvic floor training, and sports and general physiotherapy applications. It is ideal for therapists and home users to monitor muscle activity, measure muscle activity, and improve muscle conditioning.

With its accuracy and sensitivity, NeuroTrac® simplex measures muscle activity ranging from 0.2 µV [Microvolts] and up to 2000 µV. The NeuroTrac® Simplex stands upright on a flat surface, allowing users to perform exercises while viewing biofeedback through bright front LED lights. After sessions (e.g., five 5-second work/rest trials), the LCD shows average muscle readings. The unit can be locked to prevent parameter changes and supports optional PC software use.

How the NeuroTrac® Simplex-ESS102Works

The NeuroTrac® Simplex is a single-channel EMG biofeedback device designed to measure muscle activity in microvolts. Surface electrodes or a vaginal/rectal probe are connected to the unit along with a reference electrode to ensure accurate readings. When the user performs voluntary muscle contractions and relaxations, the device detects electrical muscle activity and displays it on an LCD screen with a bar graph and audio prompts. The threshold can be set automatically by contracting the muscle for a few seconds, allowing the unit to calibrate sensitivity according to individual performance.

During a session, the device guides the user through repeated work and rest cycles. The user contracts when prompted and relaxes on cue, while the device records muscle performance. At the end of the session, it displays average work, rest, onset, and release values for assessment or training progress.
