Overview & Clinical Applications

The NeuroTrac® Sports is a medical device used for increasing muscle strength, maintaining or improving range of movement, and increasing blood supply in case of intermittent claudication. It is also beneficial for warming up before exercise and preventing disuse atrophy in conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis.

The NeuroTrac® sports is ideal for sports medicine clinics, physiotherapists, and active individuals. The device uses neuromuscular electrical stimulation and features intuitive controls, a bright backlit display, convenient customization options, and built-in compliance monitoring.

  • Digital Dual Channel Stimulator (NMES) Suitable for sports, muscle toning, muscle rehabilitation, and cellulite reduction
  • 15 built in sports programmes for warm up, capillary stimulation, toning, endurance, calming the muscle; resistance force output treatment for activities which require prolonged and high activity muscle force such as cycling, rowing, and middle distance running; maximum force output treatment to produce maximum muscle force output and muscle bulk in activities such as weight lifting, judo, ball games, and sprint running
  • 3 customizable constant mode programmes
  • Lock mode function to measure and record the home compliance (mA and total time used)
  • Clear bright backlight LCD allows the display to be read more easily in low light or dark conditions
  • Keypad with bigger buttons for ease of use
  • Compact, light and reliable

How the NeuroTrac® Sports-ECS401AWorks

The NeuroTrac® Sports device works by delivering neuromuscular electrical stimulation (STIM) to muscle and nerve fibres using precise electrical signals. This dual-channel stimulator allows therapists and clinicians to control parameters such as pulse width, pulse rate, ramp-up time, and work/rest cycles. The device can also apply stimulation in alternating or synchronous modes when both channels are used, enabling targeted and controlled muscle stimulation.

The unit includes preset sports treatment programmes (P01–P15) as well as customizable programmes (PC1–PC3). Users can adjust treatment intensity by increasing the milliamp (mA) level during therapy. The stimulator also features an open-electrode detection system that resets the output to zero when a poor or disconnected electrode connection is detected, ensuring safe and controlled stimulation during treatment.

FAQs

NeuroTrac® Sports is a dual-channel neuromuscular electrical stimulation (STIM) device designed to stimulate muscle and nerve fibres using controlled electrical signals. It allows therapists and users to adjust parameters such as pulse rate, pulse width, ramp-up time, and work/rest cycles for targeted muscle stimulation. The device combines several preset sports treatment programmes and customised options within a compact and user-friendly unit.
The device is designed to support muscle conditioning and rehabilitation goals such as increasing muscle strength, improving blood supply to muscles, and maintaining or improving range of movement. It may also help prevent disuse muscle atrophy and can be used as a warm-up before exercise. Some programmes also assist muscle recovery, improve endurance, and support muscle relaxation after intense physical activity.
The device should be used under the guidance of a clinician, physiotherapist, or doctor. Healthcare professionals may use it in clinical settings to support rehabilitation and sports training programmes. Patients may also use the device at home as prescribed, with clinicians monitoring treatment parameters and usage.
The device should not be used by patients with demand-style cardiac pacemakers unless medically advised and should be avoided during pregnancy unless recommended by a doctor. Only CE-approved skin electrodes and medically approved accessories should be used with the device. Users should ensure proper electrode placement and follow operating instructions to maintain safety and effective stimulation.
